Integrated Agencies Leading the Way in 2011

Elaine Nester has seen a return to full service or integrated marketing during the last 3 years as traditional, print led agencies come together with online and experiential partners. “Linking on and off-line marketing gives a 1+1=3 result.. Integrated or full service agencies are now leading the way once again but the UK is lagging behind as there are still many companies supplying either web or traditional services, not both.”

Alpha adopted the integrated approach 3 years ago when Brendan Foley joined the agency after working for a major Canadian interactive agency. “Although Brendan has relocated to Ireland we continue to capitalise on the influences he brought to Alpha” said Elaine. “We now have web development skills in-house and we are looking at fully integrated solutions for all our clients. The full service offer is often the key to new business wins – it is common sense to take an integrated approach. For many years, it was seen as beneficial to specialise in just a few disciplines in marketing, such as PR and Marketing only or Online only. There has been a marked u-turn in this approach over the past 3 years and real integration with multi-disciplined teams working together is the best way forward.”
